About this deal

Trying it you can only confirm the generosity of taste and richness in the aromatic references, in a perfect balance between the kindness of Chardonnay, predominant here and the body of Pinot Nero that form a synergy of complete taste, sealed by the infinite sapid final trail. Numerous awards have been won by this wine: the Guide Hachette des Vins awarded the 2008 vintage 3 stars and the 2006 vintage 3 stars coup de cœur.

In comparison to the charming, pure 2008 Dom Pérignon Rosé, the 2009 Dom Pérignon Rosé possesses a ripe, dense bouquet with aromas of dark berries, licorice, dried white flowers, toast and pastry, enhanced by delicate, racy smoky hints. These red wines provide extra vinosity, which must be balanced out in the final assemblage to conform to the Dom Perignon style, making it a real challenge for the Chef de Cave. Richly fruity nose – almost strawberry compote – suggests a much richer palate than it turns out to be.

Perfect Serve: The Dom Pérignon Rosé 2006 Champagne demands to be served alongside simple, authentic and traditional cuisine from the sunny southern Europe, originating from Italy, Spain or France.

This is going to be a great wine: going to be, because it is still firm, dry, serious and very pure with structure over the red fruits and acidity.

Read Jancis Robinson's review of our recent Dom Pérignon Retrospective tasting - including scores, tasting notes and a league table of all 23 champagnes tasted, spanning 1990-2009. The eagerly awaited maturity of the grapes burst through, thriving with an unprecedented high-toned balance. Critics have scored this as one of the top 5 Champagne Rose wines: The Wine Advocate gave the 2009 vintage a score of 95.

Medium weight, with a bouquet of crunchy red fruits, that picks up some tangerine zest on the back of the palate. v=1669377411","options":["Size"],"media":[{"alt":null,"id":32234591584569,"position":1,"preview_image":{"aspect_ratio":0. Champagne / France Producer Notes It reflects a deep impulse to question everything, to embrace risk, experiment freely and to always go further. After fleeting aromas of rose, orange oil and saffron, the bouquet becomes warmer, dominated by red fruit – raspberry and cherry – then somber touches of cassis and fig.

Full-bodied, broad and rich, it’s dense and phenolic due to the approximately 15% still red wine sourced from grapes planted in the villages of Hautvilliers, Aÿ and Bouzy, culminating in a protracted, sapid and chalky finish.
